An International scholarly conference organized on April 3rd and 4th, 2019 is one of the most important Centennial events. Its aim is to demonstrate possible and expected ways of developing higher education in the context of current and future challenges stemming from the fourth industrial revolution that we are witnessing now. Most certainly, the present stage of civilizational development is related to such phenomena as digitalization, artificial intelligence, cloud data processing, big data and broadened reality. In the context of the currently changing reality, universities are forced by circumstances to adjust their functions and organization and are required to initiate and intensify new areas of research as well as to modernize teaching.
